His award ceremony is on 3rd April , hence he has to travel on 2nd morning flight from Mumbai.

We got confirmation for Visa yesterday and would reach today to him. His flight ticket is blocked.

Out of 75K required we have arranged 40K and we need about 35K totally.

Thanks

It is a good act. But just for nomination and visit, a trip may not be suggested and paid for. The award can come in mail, or a trip can be made to collect it.

Dear Mam, what you said is perfectly right. I too asked the same to him when he approached me bcos we raise funds only for paying the fees for the education.

But he replied me saying in Cinema field contacts is more important and for him getting nominated itself is a dream for him. He says he might get some contacts which would be benefit for his future. Since I know Cable annan also works in Cine field thought of asking the support.

We have raised about 55K till now , his tickets are already booked and he is travelling tonight to London from Mumbai.

Thanks Cable for your support. Will keep you updated.

The Early Bird Gets a Chance at a Scholarship!

By Allison Ackmann | April 4, 2011 | No Comments

Haven’t you heard? Heartland has teamed up with Prodigy Camp to offer one student a scholarship to the 2011 summer session July 26-August 1.

We have cash prizes, festival screening opportunities and the coolest scholarship possibility imaginable. All you have to do is submit your High School Film Competition film by our Early Bird Deadline on April 15, 2011.

About Prodigy Camp

This film camp is a place for the world’s top promising teen filmmakers to develop every aspect of their craft. In one intensive week, they will be taught the secrets to make a great film: screenwriting, directing and cinematography, and they will apply that knowledge, shooting and editing their own scene.

Students stay at the film camp supervised, and nothing but top flight award-winning filmmakers, including Oscar and Emmy winners, teach there. Students work on films most of the day, campfires and storytelling with filmmakers at night.

Every summer our film camp accepts 20 students, ages 12 to 18. Camp is held at a private retreat in the great Pacific Northwest for six days.

Submit your short film, 10 minutes or less, with the theme courage to the Heartland High School Film Competition by April 15, 2011 and be considered for this amazing opportunity. It’s too good to pass up! We can’t wait to see what amazing stories you have to tell.
